 Fitness Centre
The new Fitness Centre was opened in December 2009 and is probably the best Fitness Centre you will find in any hotel. It has been designed to meet the needs of both professional sports athletes and families seeking to continue their fitness training while on holiday.
It occupies a space of 700 sq. metres and is fully equipped with 34 pieces of the latest Nautilus strength training equipment, a comprehensive range of free weights, cross trainers, rowing machines, upright and recumbent bikes and treadmills. There is a large stretching area, and ample space to accommodate large groups wanting to do their own private training.
The range of services available in the Fitness Centre, include Personal Training, Fitness Testing, Personalised Fat Reduction Programmes and individual introductory workout programmes.
The Fitness Centre is supervised at all times and the Instructors are always happy to demonstrate the correct use of all machines or create a individual training programme for the guests at the Resort.
Swimming Pool
Since March 2008, Playitas Resort has been proud to offer a 50- meter, heated Olympic Pool with 8 lanes. They built their beautiful and functional pool with the finest materials and most advanced construction techniques to ensure an Olympic Pool that meets the needs of professional and recreational swimmers. In order to improve your performance in the water, we also offer several forms of swimming equipment.

Cycling
Fuerteventura is an undiscovered gem for road cyclists. Good quality road surfaces and generally little traffic provide an almost perfect recipe for the ideal ride - regardless of how far or hard you want to make it. While there is no such thing here as an "easy" ride - the undulating terrain and almost constant winds making most journeys challenging in some way - there is certainly something for everyone.
Best of all, Playitas is ideally placed to explore the best scenery and routes on the island. Hit the road and take in the climbs towards Betancuria and you can return to the resort safe in the knowledge that you have made one of the most dramatic routes you could experience anywhere.
You can rent a carbon frame road race bike with full Shimano Ultegra compact group set for the day for only 25 Euros.
If rough and dusty is more your cup of tea, then why not rent a full suspension Mountain Bike for only 20 Euros and explore all the hidden corners away from the roads. You can enjoy a very exciting morning only kilometres from the resort and barely see another soul. Get back in touch with nature - and leave your carbon footprint at home!
Helmets are provided for those of you who don't bring your own. But if you want to bring your own shoes then you MUST remember to bring your OWN PEDALS, too! We won't be able to provide you with a pair to match.
Outdoor Fitness Park
Playitas Resort is one of the first sports resorts in the world offering a sculptural outdoor fitness park. Guests can exercise and train their entire body using 13 different machines while enjoying the Atlantic Ocean and the volcanic mountains as a scenic backdrop.
This outdoor fitness park offers cardiovascular training, strength training and helps you work on your body-balance, coordination and flexibility. It's a true asset to the large indoor fitness area at Playitas Resort as the ideal climate on Fuerteventura invites people to exercise outdoors!
The outdoor fitness equipment is for all ages. Regardless the physical shape you're in, it's always an enjoyable experience. The equipment is designed in a way that anyone can use it as it adapts to each individual user.
